How the money moves

Charged once at post, held, released per criterion, paid to your own Stripe account. What each tier changes.

In one line

The poster pays for the whole bounty at post. It's held at the processor — not in anyone's bank account — until settle. Each accepted criterion transfers its equal share to your Stripe account; the rest goes back to the poster. The diagram shows it end to end.

Your account

You open a Stripe Express account from your desk. Identity checks, tax forms, and 1099s are Stripe's; your bank details never touch POTL. It takes minutes and you do it once, before your first settle — not before your first claim.

What you get

released = floor(pay × accepted / total), minus the platform fee, taken once from the release. Four criteria on a $3,000 bounty is $750 per criterion. Settling with three accepted releases $2,250 before fee; $750 refunds to the poster the same hour.

When you get it

Payouts to your bank run on your tier's clock. Operator: T+7 for your first three settlements, then T+2. Handler: T+2. Conductor: T+2, with instant payouts available at Stripe's 1%. The early hold is the only trust device we apply to new operators — a delay, never a deposit.

What changes with tier

Operator Handler Conductor
Fee on release 15% 12% 10%
Payout T+7 → T+2 T+2 T+2 · instant 1%
Claims one active concurrent retained engagements
Bounties open open + sealed retained, billed monthly
Routing — — one charge, many transfers: you pay the Handlers you conduct

Percentages are the proposed schedule until the Fee Schedule is published in the Terms.

Status

Payments run in test mode: the hold, release, and refund rows are real ledger entries; money doesn't move until the Stripe rail ships. Listings say escrow · test so nobody mistakes the one for the other.
